Join Head Coach Sylvia Hatchell as she is honored in Atlanta for recording her 1,000th win this season, a milestone achievement for this Hall-of-Fame Coach.
During the celebratory evening, Coach Hatchell will be available pregame for pictures and autographs before the Atlanta Dream take on the Washington Mystics in McCamish Pavillion.

It’s a fitting time to be recognized for this achievement as Jessica Breland ’11 (Atlanta Dream), LaToya Pringle-Sanders ’12 (Washington Mystics) and Tierra Ruffin-Pratt ’14 (Washington Mystics) assisted in many of these victories.
Please note the NCAA Bylaw that will prevent Coach Hatchell from having contact with a prospective student-athlete:
13.1.5.4.2 Additional Restrictions—July Evaluation Periods. In women’s basketball, during the July evaluation periods, all communication with a prospective student-athlete, the prospective student athlete’s relatives or legal guardians, the prospective student-athlete’s coach or any individual associated with the prospective student-athlete as a result of the prospective student-athlete’s participation in basketball, directly or indirectly, is prohibited.
